Courses

You will find a complete list of courses on your "My dashboard" page. Here, you can sign up for a course, and see your progress on courses which you have started.

Click on the name of a course to expand out the details and learn more about what it will cover.

Once you have started a course, you will simply work through the pages using the buttons within the course  content. Once you have finished working through the course content, you will take a short test, and then be asked to reflect on your learning.

When you have fully completed a course, it will also be shown on the "Learning portfolio" page. You can re-access the content at any time from your if you would like to review what you have learnt.

Tests

Some of our courses use multiple choice questions to assess your understanding. You will need to score 70% to pass, and can have three attempts at the test. If you do not pass after three attempts, you will have two options:
  • try the test on another day - we strongly encourage you to use this time to revisit the course first to review your understanding.
  • be shown the answers. If you choose this option, you will be able to continue to the reflection stage but will not be able to gain a certificate for this course.

Reflection

Each course contains a short reflective exercise to help you reflect on what you have learnt. This information is saved and can be accessed in future either through your "Course history" or by returning to the course itself. Use this area to reflect on how you will apply your learning to clinical practice/

Certificates

At the end of each course that you pass, you will be able to download a certificate. You can access your certificate at any time via the "Course history" page.

Learning portfolio

The "Learning portfolio" is your one-stop access to all the information about the courses you have passed and the certificates available to download. On this page you can:
  • see a list of your completed courses - and re-access the contents at any time
  • click to review the reflective work you carried out
  • download your certificate
You can also generate a PDF report of your learning history. Simply set the start and end dates for the period you want to report on, and the system will automatically create a PDF which you can print or save.
